How to Embrace Polarity and Watch Your Professional Journey Flourish!

Have you read my recent social post on “How Understanding This One Thing Can Empower You to Navigate Work and Relationships with Confidence and Ease”? If not, have a read here.

In the post, I talk about what feminine and masculine energies are. Neither bad nor good, but by having balance and creating polarity i.e. opposing energies between two people, you can create harmonious situations and outcomes in your life, whether that’s romantically or in your career.

Below are some ways for you to implement polarity at work:

  1. Conflict or for win/win outcomes - SEE - HEAR - SPEAK. I love this approach because it naturally balances feminine and masculine. Typically conflict arises when you have two headstrong and assertive people both wanting to be right/heard/seen. See them from where they stand, hear what they have to say (feminine), speak from a place of awareness and compassion, and then implement the ‘doing’ based on aligned actions and win/win outcomes (masculine).

  2. Getting promoted - Communicate your desires and needs from a place of what is important and aligned to you (feminine) and lay out a plan (masculine) of why you and how you intend to get promoted (this is the organised and doing energy of the masculine). How you communicate it through tone, empathy and connection to your heart is important.

  3. Interview success - Being able to connect with the interviewers and build rapport/trust (feminine) is equally as important as being able to satisfy the capabilities for the job and successfully apply this to the interview (masculine).

  4. Balance your own mental well-being - Often we can find ourselves overwhelmed, anxious and drained from all the DOING in our lives leading to burnout, depression and feelings of despair. Try balancing this with more BEING by listening to your body, intentionally connecting with your breath, meditating, going for walks and calming your nervous system with things that bring you joy.

  5. Get things done whilst feeling in flow, energised and in alignment - Balance your to-do list with moments of relaxation where you take a walk, journal, do some breathwork and connect to your intentions; whether it’s your purpose, this week or today’s intention. Listen to your intuition (feminine) and take action (masculine) from a place of alignment.
